A full time artist since 1976, J.
Merilee Adams received her training, as a third generation
artist, from various members of her richly talented family.
From her grandparents and mother, she learned the joy of art
through countless hours spent in the "art room" experimenting
with a myriad of raw materials and innovative techniques. As
her journey continued toward her specialty of grand size art,
she learned the precision of engineering, fabrication and installation
from her father and brother. Merilee is gifted with an innate
sense of design and balance, coupled with her ability to enhance
the architecture, she creates a fluid orchestration of structure
and art. Her commissioned work hangs in corporate buildings
and private collections throughout the country.
More recently, Merilee has begun working with acrylics on textured
canvas. This unusual technique adds dimension and visual interest
which complements the already breathtaking images and rich colors
that are a trademark of her work. |
