Walter Paulson
was born in Denver, Colorado in 1960, where he grew up watching
his father paint in a studio behind their house. One of his
fondest memories as a child was his father teaching him how
to hold a paintbrush and allowing him to help with a painting.
From then on, he continued painting alongside his father, while
exploring his own style. He continued painting through
his high school years and then traveled to Europe after graduation
to study the classical artists and discover his own unique style.
"I really enjoy experimenting with different mediums, for
me it has always meant discovery", says Paulson.
His unexpected use of texture and paint leaves a lasting impression.
Walter focuses on still life painting. He paints mainly
from his home studio on Southern California, but enjoy traveling
the world to see what other artists are doing. This gives
him great inspiration and allows him to expand his creativity. |
