Allison’s art is amazing on
sheets of recycled steel/metal. Layers of paint/patinas and
dry pigment create a finish very similar to glaze on pottery.
A french-cleat for an ultra-modern design or contemporary
metal/wood frame for at stylish more traditional design
compliments this art.
“I want to offer designers and clients affordable contemporary
art. It is chic, spontaneous and beautiful. My concept of
rescuing discarded utilitarian scrap and reinventing it’s
“being” as beautiful piece of art is a metaphor for my life.
I search through piles of rubbish, and find pieces that are
weathered and crying for color. The metal actually decides the
design, for a totally synergistic-artistic experience. The
gloss brings out the natural beauty of the metal and metallic
paints. I can literally gaze deep into each piece and
experience a depth unlike work I have seen on canvas or
paper.”
Allison is looking for opportunities to display/sell her work
through the interior design community.
